About Us
We are a classical, fostering a balanced, rigorous, and Christ-centered educational environment for students ranging from K-9th grade. Our Grammar School operates on a hybrid model, with students attending campus three days per week and engaging in remote instruction for the remaining two days. As a member of our community, you will align with our Statement of Faith and exhibit a profound commitment to education and the Classical model.
Responsibilities
Spiritual Leadership: Serve as a model of spiritual maturity, embodying virtues both inside and outside the classroom. Foster a nurturing environment where students are encouraged to develop and deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ. Integrate faith seamlessly into teaching and personal conduct. Classroom Management/Environment Establish clear behavioral expectations rooted in Biblical principles. Guide students towards self-discipline through positive reinforcement and appropriate guidance. Maintain an orderly and conducive learning atmosphere, adhering to school policies. Lesson Preparation And Presentation Prepare comprehensive lesson plans that utilize class time effectively. Demonstrate expertise and enthusiasm in the subjects taught. Contribute to curriculum development aligned with classical principles. Teaching & Student Learning Stay abreast of best practices in education, particularly within classical pedagogy. Engage students with challenging and age-appropriate instruction, fostering curiosity and critical thinking. Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with students, parents, and administrators. Professionalism Demonstrate pride in our institution through exemplary work ethic, punctuality, and professionalism. Act as an ambassador for classical education within the local community. Collaborate effectively with colleagues and administration, fostering a culture of mutual respect and innovation. Community Relations Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress and needs. Actively participate in the local church community and engage parents in school life. Foster strong relationships with families, promoting a sense of belonging and involvement. Teacher Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. Alignment with Caritas Academy Mission and Statement of Faith. Active involvement in a local church community. Demonstrate a passion for Classical and a love for the subject matter. Exhibit a love of learning and a humble, teachable spirit. Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and uphold academic excellence. Ability to collaborate closely with parents in their child's education. Special Certifications/Licenses Previous teaching experience preferred, but not required.
