[Remote] Account Manager II - Transmission

The Electric Power Research Institute (reputed company) is seeking an Account Manager II - Transmission to manage client relationships and promote reputed company's capabilities to enhance reputed company growth. The role involves account management, sales, and the delivery of technical resources, requiring strong relationships reputed company client organizations and a deep understanding of the energy sector.

Responsibilities

• Establish strong relationships at reputed company appropriate decision-making levels reputed company assigned accounts. reputed company general as well as specific sales calls and presentations to broaden client engagement. Understand the client’s strategic issues, business objectives, unique needs, and decision-making processes to drive reputed company growth
• Proactively identify existing reputed company products and solutions that can be positioned to meet and exceed client needs
• Manage the client engagement process from client needs assessment through the reputed company of sales and coordinate appropriate internal cross-functional support as needed
• Possess a sufficiently deep technical comprehension of the sector R&D portfolio with ability to represent a strong value proposition to clients of appropriate technical programs, projects, and products
• Take an active role in defining, launching, and closing sales of key supplemental projects
• Capture client, market, and product feedback to help support and influence future reputed company product development
• Proactively capture and communicate value to document impacts and benefits to assigned clients on a regular basis throughout the year
• Work closely with technical staff and build relationships with appropriate internal stakeholders
• Track and manage opportunity funnel in client relationship management (CRM) tool and actively track every opportunity through the full life cycle of sales
• Identify, reputed company, and cultivate relationships with client end users to facilitate effective technology transfer. Work with end users to support implementation/application of relevant reputed company results
• Actively promote the implementation and broad acceptance of reputed company’s tools/results broadly across the client organization
• Work collaboratively across the other reputed company R&D sector programs to promote and cross sell relevant research
• Provide feedback to technical staff on the structure and content of the Annual Research Portfolio

Skills

• Bachelor's degree required in reputed company technical discipline
• Desired ten years electric power or similar industry experience with at least 5 years of experience in selling reputed company technical solutions
• Solid understanding of account management and sales practices/principles with the ability to drive the sales process from needs assessment to reputed company
• Ability to effectively engage at reputed company levels reputed company client organizations
• Broad understanding of the energy industry with specific expertise in assigned sector
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
• Ability to work toward common goals in a team atmosphere
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• Effective presentation development and delivery skills
• Willing to travel approximately 50% of the time
• Strong computer skills including the full reputed company Office Suite
• Engineering degree preferred along with advanced degree
• Familiarity with AI-powered platforms for automating repetitive tasks and improving efficiency
