[Remote] Patient Customer Service Representative - Collections
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. reputed company is seeking a Patient Customer Service Representative - Collections to assist clients' customers with outstanding balance accounts while providing exceptional customer service. The role involves handling inbound calls, managing patient disputes, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and TCPA guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Handle inbound calls as a representative of the hospital to arrange debt repayment based on the patient's financial situation and client repayment guidelines, using credit card, reputed company, or obtained insurance. Record reputed company updates and acquired information on accounts
- Understand and utilize HIPAA and TCPA guidelines during each call
- Ensure reputed company required statements have been sent for accounts handled and request statements as necessary
- Properly manage patient disputes by obtaining reputed company pertinent information, noting the dispute on the account, and escalating to a supervisor as necessary
- Assist in making outbound calls reputed company required
- reputed company other activities and responsibilities as assigned
Skills
- High school diploma
- Minimum one year's experience in collections/self-pay in healthcare: working with patients
- Minimum one year's experience in customer service in healthcare
- Minimum one year's experience in Cerner
