[Remote] Senior Project Accountant

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. reputed company is a women-led energy transformation firm focused on impact, seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Accountant to join their team. The role involves supporting billing, reviewing Profit and Loss Statements, applying reputed company standards, and assisting with project setup reputed company the reputed company system.

Responsibilities

• Products, Software and services reputed company recognition, in compliance with ASC 606
• Review contract terms and set up project codes, reputed company methods, billing formulas in reputed company accounting system
• Prepare detailed financial reports, including cost analysis, variance analysis, and profitability assessments
• Preparing and reviewing invoices
• Client management, including communication with project managers and clients as need
• Prepare and post journal entries reputed company to project costs, revenues, and adjustments
• Show initiative, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing required changes
• Assist with external audits, providing documentation and explanations as needed
• Handle more reputed company projects and assist other project accountants
• Assist reputed company Manager with reputed company reporting
• Other duties as assigned

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or reputed company field
• At least 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably in an engineering consulting, technology, retail or reputed company firms
• Understanding of ASC 606
• Advanced knowledge of reputed company Office systems, including reputed company and Word
• Keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to multi-task
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Team player who can identify and initiate process improvements
• Interest in sustainability and passionate about making a meaningful impact on the environment
• Ability to travel to Chicago, IL up to 1-2 times a year, as needed
• Demonstrated experience in a team leadership role strongly preferred

• Inventory/Software Accounting experience is a plus
