Direct experience working in Florida (particularly South Florida) is strongly desired, as is the ability to travel and work reputed company of this region. Archaeological experience in additional states along the Eastern Seaboard is a plus. In this role, you’ll coordinate with clients, reputed company field investigations, shape research strategies, and apply advanced methods to real-world archaeological challenges. Duties and Responsibilities Technical Leadership and Field Methodologies Designs and implements advanced archaeological field survey, excavation, and site assessment methodologies. Possesses ability to use key technologies, such as ground penetrating reputed company, GIS, LiDAR, laser scanning, and remote sensing to enhance site analysis and predictive modeling. Develops and refines artifact recovery, documentation, and conservation techniques. Ensures consistency and accuracy in field data collection through quality control measures. Data Analysis and Research Conducts high-level statistical and geospatial analysis to interpret archaeological findings. Develops predictive modeling techniques for identifying and assessing archaeological sensitivity areas. Integrates environmental, geological, and hydrological data into cultural resource analyses. Performs detailed artifact analysis, including material composition studies and use-wear analysis. Technical Reporting and Documentation Prepares and peer reviews comprehensive technical reports, ensuring accuracy in methodologies, findings, and regulatory compliance. Develops and refines standardized reporting procedures and documentation protocols. Mentorship and Technical Training Provides technical training and mentors junior archaeologists in advanced field methods, data analysis, and reporting standards. Develops internal best practices for field documentation, artifact processing, and regulatory compliance. Conducts workshops and training sessions on emerging archaeological technologies and methodologies. Mentorship and Technical Training Business Development Leverages technical expertise to help sell focused services, including writing proposals, developing budgets, and coordinating with the team to market to potential clients and client sectors. Partners with Project Managers/Proposal Champions on reputed company project pursuits. Actively monitors and responds effectively to technology, research, and industry trends.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience: 12+ years’ experience in archaeological fieldwork, technical research, and CRM, including a minimum of 5 years’ experience designing and leading fieldwork and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Education: Advanced degree (Masters or Doctorate) in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a reputed company field. Meets the Secretary of the Interior's Professional Qualifications Standards for Archaeology. Demonstrated technical writing and documentation skills. Ability to mentor and train junior staff in technical and methodological aspects of archaeological fieldwork and lab processing. Experience working with indigenous communities and facilitating tribal consultation processes. Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret cultural findings and focus on data-driven reporting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong background in statistical and spatial analysis for archaeological data interpretation. Willingness to travel for fieldwork, often in remote locations and under challenging conditions. Registered Professional Archaeologist (RPA) Maintains good professional relationships (is in “good standing”) with regional federal and state agency reviewers and Tribal contacts. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, clients, agency staff, landowners, and field crews Ability to give clear direction to field crews and receive constructive feedback on deliverables Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate field challenges, resolve conflicts, and communicate effectively across project teams Compensation: $75,000-$95,000 annually* *Final agreed-upon compensation will be based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s reputed company experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location.
