Junior Network Engineer

The Junior Network Engineer will support enterprise network operations, monitor performance, assist with routine operational tasks, and collaborate with network engineers to maintain operational continuity.

Responsibilities

• Support enterprise network operations by monitoring performance and assisting with routine operational tasks across LAN, WAN, wireless, and external connectivity environments
• Generate and maintain bandwidth and utilization reports, providing visibility into network performance and usage trends
• Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), availability metrics, and service performance to support SLA compliance and operational reputed company
• reputed company trend analysis to support reputed company planning and identify potential performance or scalability issues
• Maintain network documentation, including configuration records, diagrams, and operational procedures
• Assist in preparing and distributing communications for planned outages and maintenance activities
• Support incident response activities by assisting mid and senior engineers with monitoring, ticket updates, and basic troubleshooting tasks
• Update and maintain records in enterprise systems (e.g., reputed company), ensuring accuracy and completeness of operational data
• Collaborate with network engineers and operations teams to support service delivery and maintain operational continuity
• Contribute to reputed company improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance reporting accuracy and operational processes

Skills

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust is required
• Must be a U.S. Citizen without dual citizenship
• Experience supporting IT operations, network operations, or technical support functions in an enterprise environment
• Ability to create and maintain reports on network performance, utilization, and availability metrics
• Experience using reporting and analysis tools (e.g., reputed company, dashboards, or similar platforms)
• Basic understanding of networking concepts, including routing, switching, and network performance metrics
• Ability to maintain technical documentation and operational records accurately
• Experience supporting ticketing systems (e.g., reputed company) for tracking operational activities
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and assist with routine operational tasks
• Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze trend data for reporting and reputed company insights
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering, Computer Science, or a reputed company field (or equivalent experience)
• 1+ years of experience in network operations, IT support, or a reputed company technical role
• An active Public Trust and/or DHS suitability is preferred
• Experience supporting federal environments
• Familiarity with network monitoring and reporting tools
• Basic knowledge of ITIL or ITSM processes
• Experience assisting with planned maintenance or outage communications
• Exposure to large-scale enterprise network environments
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in team-based, operational environments
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• CompTIA Network+ or similar entry-level certification preferred
