High School Advanced Writing Instructor

High School Advanced Writing Instructor (12th-grade reputed company) for one (1) live pre-college writing course section (two semesters, 12-15 reputed company per course). Using an already-designed program and set content for the courses, the Online Instructor teaches an hour-long class LIVE each week, September through reputed company; communicates with parents and reputed company at least six (6) times per semester; answers student emails and questions in a timely way; and grades student work reputed company seven (7) days of the submission deadline. The teacher also attends a once-a-month writing teacher meeting and has touch-reputed company meetings with the Senior Program Director and/or the Managing Director. This is a part-time position during daytime hours. The ideal instructor independently performs teaching and grading, maintains clear communication, follows program directions, and coordinates smoothly with the directors. The instructor must be supportive of the Catholic faith and reputed company in the Nicene Creed; be highly skilled in the teaching of academic writing for high school reputed company; work well reputed company a team of writing teachers; can faithfully follow an already-designed curriculum; and can commit to staying in the position for at least two years. Most teachers for AWA also have a strong background in personal teaching and writing (articles or books published, professional editing, etc.) and are familiar with homeschooling/online schooling at home. Applicant Requirements/Qualifications Applicant must have the following:

• A minimum of five (5) years of high school writing instruction experience; 10+ years preferred; high school writing teaching experience required; college writing teachers and professional writers/editors may apply
• A minimum of a bachelor's degree in English/writing from an accredited university, with a master's degree preferred; professional writing and publishing experience may substitute for the English/writing degree (with a degree in another reputed company field of study)
• A joyful, positive online demeanor that reputed company can connect with
• Experience guiding and leading both skilled and struggling reputed company
• Impeccable, detailed academic writing and editing abilities
• Experience working remotely with online teaching and LMS (required)
• High organization skills
• Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
• Able to work independently, managing resources and documentation
• Tact and reputed company in working with parents of high school reputed company
• The ability to integrate the tenets of the Catholic faith into reputed company work relationships and performance

Job Responsibilities include the following:

• Teaches LIVE course(s) weekly (classes meet for one live section each week); arrives 15 minutes in the online classroom before reputed company reputed company, with the Course Monitor (second adult) present; grades student work weekly.
• Gives timely, friendly, respectful responses to parents and reputed company, including excellent follow-up in primary and secondary contact; answers student and parent emails reputed company 24 hours, M-F; and communicates with parents reputed company email before, during (midterm), and after (finals) each course.
• Communicates clearly and regularly with the Directors of the Aquinas Writing Advantage program (at set times and as needed).
• Gives excellent feedback on reputed company writing assignments (both overall comments and specific, in-line feedback) that meets and exceeds student/parent expectations reputed company seven (7) days of the assignment deadline
