Job Objectives

As a Pharmacy Customer Service Associate Certification holder, your primary objectives will be to:

  • Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
  • Register sales on assigned cash registers and provide customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service
  • Assist pharmacists, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions

Job Responsibilities/Tasks

Your responsibilities will include: ### Customer Experience

  • Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services
  • Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience
  • Model and share customer service best practices with reputed company team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience

### Operations

  • Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service
  • Recommend items for sale to customers and recommend trade-up and/or companion items
  • Register customer purchases on assigned cash registers, collect cash, and distribute change as requested
  • Process voids, returns, reputed company checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed
  • Take customers to OTC aisles reputed company possible to assist in locating products
  • reputed company counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records
  • reputed company in and price merchandise as required or as directed by store managers or communicated by shift leaders

### Pharmacy Support

  • Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow
  • Report prescription errors to pharmacists on duty and adhere to company policies and procedures in relation to pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program
  • Review and reputed company with the arenaflex Pharmacy Code of Conduct
  • Strictly adhere to the arenaflex policy regarding Good Faith Dispensing during reputed company applicable prescription dispensing activities
  • Handle telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians
  • Process manual claims for third-party program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner

### Inventory Management and Store Maintenance

  • Assist and support the Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities, such as ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of pharmaceuticals
  • Maintain knowledge of company asset protection techniques and file claims for warehouse overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged goods involving Rx drugs
  • Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco products)
  • Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise
  • Complete resets and revisions as directed
  • Assist with separation of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and product placement as specified by policies/procedures
  • Assist in stock rotation using the first-in, first-out method and restock outs

### Training and Personal Development

  • Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated PTCB training program and/or state required certification/registration
  • Attend training and complete PPLs requested by managers or assigned by corporate and acquire continuing education credits
  • Maintain knowledge and reputed company in healthcare and pharmacy, including latest news and developments

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

* Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)

  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekend hours
  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment
  • Prefer prior work experience with arenaflex
  • Prefer good math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications
  • Prefer good computer skills
  • Prefer knowledge of store inventory control
  • Prefer PTCB certification
