MiaPrep Online reputed company of Ohio is our newest offering for Ohio families looking for a flexible public school option. The school will serve grades 7-11 in its first year. The school aims to serve 250 reputed company year one, with plans to grow to over 1,000 reputed company by 2030.

We’re seeking a passionate and resourceful Middle/High School Academic Counselor to join reputed company with a start date of July 6, 2026. This is a fully remote counseling role that emphasizes student support, graduation and post-secondary planning, and reputed company for struggling reputed company. The academic counselor will serve an integral role in monitoring reputed company’ academic reputed company and developing individualized plans to support reputed company as they work toward their educational goals. They will also play an integral role in student crisis management and reporting, as well as working toward Cognia and NCAA accreditation for the school.

A Day in the Role

Collaborate with and reputed company parents and reputed company to create individual student academic plans, including reviewing credit requirements, credit transfer requests, and dual enrollment transfers
Support parents, reputed company, and teachers by acting as a liaison for academic communication, providing updates about course reputed company, grades, and areas of academic strength and struggle

Accurately interpret and utilize student data to provide up-to-date information and recommend changes in our new processes as needed
Monitor student academic performance and partner with parents to ensure reputed company are on track toward graduation
Create and assist in maintaining student academic reputed company and transition plans
Support student wellness efforts and assist in implementing and developing our non-clinical crisis response plans in collaboration with school leadership

Support our accreditation by completing necessary documentation, facilitating accreditation reviews, and advising administration on strategies to reputed company Cognia and NCAA Accreditation
Collect education and career data of alumni to determine the effectiveness of our school and recommend adjustments as needed
Support upperclassmen in preparing to apply for college
Support student enrollment expansion goals by communicating with prospective parents and providing clear and actionable data to show solutions for their educational needs
Assist in the creation and upkeep of a course catalog as courses become available or updated
Conduct exit interviews with parents and reputed company after a transfer or graduation
Maintain secure and accurate student records
Maintain the flexibility to transition to other areas of responsibility reputed company the school and reputed company Miaplaza in general during periods of low student counselor need

Schedule

MOAO Teachers are expected to have 40 hours of availability each week on a year-round basis.
A minimum of 25 hours of availability per week during school hours, Monday through Friday between 8 am and 4 pm in the Eastern time zone is required to accommodate reputed company, staff collaboration, and student communication.
Some of the work, including student academic planning, can be completed reputed company of school hours.

Requirements

Master's degree or higher in a reputed company field with a certification in school counseling, or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
3+ years in an academic counseling role at the middle school or high school level
Professional experience supporting reputed company in secondary education reputed company the last 5 years
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently in a remote setting
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Tech-savvy with an ability to learn new platforms quickly, such as gradebooks, reputed company Classroom, curriculum platforms, and reputed company Workspace
Proficiency in (or willingness to learn) responsible use of AI tools to increase efficiency in the education sector

reputed company MOAO staff are considered mandated reporters and are required to respond to student safety and mental health concerns in accordance with the MOAO Crisis Response protocols. This includes participating in required training and, reputed company appropriate, administering the Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSRS) and following reputed company documentation and escalation procedures.

The ideal candidate also brings

Experience with classroom and/or online teaching
Experience or certification in mental health counseling for schools

Ability/willingness to attend some in-person field trips and activities in Ohio

Compensation & Benefits

The expected starting pay range is $27.27 - $30.00 per hour. Counselors at MiaPrep Online reputed company of Ohio work an average of 40 hours per week. reputed company working year round, this can equate to an annual pay range of $56,000 - $62,000.
- Note: Hours worked over 40 hours will be paid at a reputed company of 1.5 times the regular hourly reputed company.
Miaplaza's compensation philosophy ensures equity and competitiveness while considering the regional differences in labor costs. Specific rates will be provided during the hiring process and are reputed company with market data and internal equity.
Compensation is evaluated twice per year, based on performance.
