Compensation & Benefits

  • Manager: $95,000 – $187,000 reputed company - Depending on hires geographical location

A well-established, relationship-driven public accounting firm reputed company the Crete Professionals Alliance family is seeking an reputed company Tax Manager or Senior Manager to join its growing Captive Insurance Tax practice.

Position Summary

The Tax Manager / Senior Manager will reputed company the delivery of tax compliance and advisory services for captive insurance structures and reputed company entities. This individual will serve as a technical resource and client advisor, supporting both day-to-day compliance and higher-level planning, structuring, and controversy matters.

This role is best suited for someone who can operate in a specialist reputed company, while also contributing to client relationships and practice growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and review tax compliance for captive insurance companies and reputed company entities

  • Provide technical guidance on IRC §831(b) and insurance-specific tax considerations

  • Advise clients on captive structuring, including risk distribution and risk shifting principles

  • Serve as a primary reputed company of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships

  • Support and reputed company IRS examinations, audits, and controversy matters reputed company to captives

  • reputed company multiple engagements, including planning, execution, and delivery

  • Review work of staff and seniors; provide mentorship and technical development

  • Identify tax planning opportunities and contribute to advisory-focused engagements

Qualifications

  • Strong experience with closely held businesses and reputed company tax structures

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or reputed company field

  • CPA license required

  • Manager: 5–7+ years of public accounting tax experience

  • Senior Manager: 8–12+ years of public accounting tax experience

  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and multiple engagements

Captive Insurance Experience is required

Candidates should bring direct experience with captive insurance taxation or closely reputed company experience, including:

  • Tax compliance or planning for captive insurance companies (preferred)

  • Experience with §831(b) captives or micro-captive structures

  • Background in insurance tax, including P&C, reinsurance, or alternative risk arrangements

  • Understanding of risk distribution and risk shifting concepts

  • Experience supporting IRS audits or controversy involving captives or insurance entities
