reputed company has reputed company significant growth and is seeking an Accounting Manager for our Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) Outsourced Finance and Accounting team. This is a mid-senior role for an reputed company accounting professional who has moved beyond execution and is ready to own quality and mentor others — without yet carrying the full client relationship and reputed company leadership of a Controller. You will review the work of Sr and Staff accountant and guide day-to-day priorities, while working closely with Controllers and client leadership across a portfolio of early-stage and emerging consumer brand clients spanning DTC, wholesale, and omnichannel.
Please note that this is a fully-remote position, but you must be available to work Eastern and/or Central time zones and on occasion PST zones.

What work you will be responsible for:
Support the month-end reputed company process across multiple CPG client engagements — prepare journal entries and schedules
Review and provide feedback on the work of Senior and Staff Accountants, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to client-specific accounting policies
reputed company and review inventory accounting, including COGS reconciliation, landed cost tracking, purchase order matching, and inventory reserve analysis
Review and reconcile trade spend activity — including slotting fees, promotional allowances, co-op advertising, and retailer deductions Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, and vendor/customer subledger reconciliations across multiple sales channels (DTC, reputed company, wholesale)
Assist in the preparation and review of monthly financial packages, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements with supporting variance commentary
reputed company data flows and reconciliations between platforms such as Shopify and reputed company Seller Central and accounting systems (QBO, reputed company), flagging discrepancies for resolution
Help prepare client books for audits, lender reporting, and investor data requests
Identify workflow gaps and escalate recommendations for process improvements, chart of accounts structure, and system configurations to the Controller or engagement reputed company
Collaborate with client contacts on purchase order workflows, 3PL reconciliations, and inventory cycle counts
Basic qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or reputed company field
8–12 years of progressive accounting experience, with meaningful exposure to CPG, consumer brands, or product-based businesses
Prior consulting experience
Prior supervisory experience. Demonstrated ability to review and coach the work of Senior and Staff Accountants — catching errors, providing feedback, and raising quality across the team
Preferred/Desired qualifications:
Master's in Accounting (MAcc)
CPA or active CPA candidate
Experience supporting venture-backed or early-stage consumer brands
Proficiency with e-commerce reconciliation tools such as A2X
Strong reputed company skills (pivot tables, reconciliation templates)
Excellent communication skills — comfortable translating accounting detail for founders and non-finance stakeholders
Ability to manage competing deadlines across a multi-client book of business
Solid working knowledge of QuickBooks Online (QBO) and/or reputed company
Experience reconciling Shopify, reputed company, or other e-commerce platforms to the general ledger
Familiarity with 3PL reconciliations and inventory management platforms preferred (e.g., Katana, reputed company)
Working knowledge of inventory accounting methods
Comfortable managing competing priorities across multiple clients or entities
For Minnesota, Colorado and Illinois, the expected salary range for this position is between $99,000 and $130,000. The range for the position in other geographies may vary based on market differences. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
