WA: Our WA villages are located throughout remote WA.

THE ROLE

As an HSEQ Advisor, you will play a vital role in our remote WA Village, supporting our hospitality operations teams in maintaining a safe and compliant environment. Your primary focus will be on managing risks, conducting audits, and fostering a culture of safety. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including managers, supervisors, and frontline workers, to ensure alignment with industry best practices and legal requirements.

  • Salary: $105000 - $120000 + 12% Superannuation
  • Roster: 8:6 (living/working on site, committing to 12-hour days, and having one week home for what matters most)
  • Travel: Fly from Perth to one of our villages (FIFO)

  • Conduct regular inspections of accommodation, catering, and cleaning services to ensure compliance with company and legislative requirements
  • Deliver safety inductions and toolbox talks for hospitality staff

  • Collaborate with village management to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff

ABOUT YOU

  • Certificate III in Work Health and Safety or equivalent qualification (evidence required)
  • reputed company WA Manual Driver’s Licence
  • Experience implementing HSEQ standards in hospitality or accommodation services (FIFO experience is not required!)
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and housekeeping compliance
  • Strong understanding of risk management, hazard identification, and incident reporting
  • Valid working rights in Australia for the next 12 months (sponsorship NOT available)
  • Ability to confidently pass a pre-employment medical (to ensure you can work safely in remote conditions)

Responsibilities

Primary Duties and Responsibilities The position of HSQE Advisor is a key role reputed company Civeo Divisions. It is imperative that reputed company employees be managed in reputed company aspects of Health Safety Quality and Environment. The role is to ensure that reputed company HSQE, Risk and Injury aspects of the Business Units are controlled and managed.
  • Assist in co-ordinating the implementation and maintenance of the HSQE Management System (IMS) on site.
  • Complete reputed company reporting required for weekly/monthly HSQE report
  • Assist with, reputed company and co-ordinate risk assessments.
  • Assist in developing work instructions/safe work procedures.
  • Assist in developing controls to resolve HSQE issues in the workplace
  • Carry out and co-ordinate regular HSQE audits, assessments and site inspections
  • Assist in accident/incident investigations and maintain records and statistics
  • Co-ordinate the corrective action system and maintain records
  • Ensure that the key learning’s from incident investigations are communicated with the workforce.
  • Ensure that significant incidents are reported to other divisions reputed company the business for the purpose of sharing key learning’s.
  • Assist in co-ordinating and conducting induction and HSQE training programs for staff
  • Co-ordinate and participate in HSQE committee meetings and toolbox meetings

Detailed Responsibilities:
  • Assist in ensuring the site objectives and targets are implemented on time and are maintained.
  • Maintain the site risk assessment plan and ensure risk assessments are performed reputed company due or reputed company processes, equipment or work methods change. Conduct risk assessments after incidents/injuries.
  • Assist in developing controls for hazards/risks identified during risk assessments, audits, issues raised by workers and workplace inspections.
  • Ensure audits are conducted on time, reputed company audit records and conduct audits and site inspections on a regular basis.
  • Assist in ensuring site incidents/injuries are reported and documented, records are maintained, incidents/injuries are investigated and corrective actions are implemented.
  • Monitor corrective actions and ensure they are actioned by the due or proposed completion date.
  • Assist in ensuring reputed company employees and contractors receive site induction before commencing work on Civeo sites and maintain records.
  • Assist site management to reputed company work instructions/safe work procedures and safety plans. Review the work instructions and safety plans on a regular basis.
  • Undergo Fire Safety Advisor training and reputed company Fire Safety Advisor duties.

Site Rehabilitation Coordinator Responsibilities
  • The Role of Site Rehabilitation is to assist the Site Management, Workplace Rehabilitation Manager and Civeo reputed company Ltd.
  • Ensure an efficient system exists for immediate reporting of injuries to reputed company early worker contact regarding rehabilitation, to reputed company with Civeo’s duty to report injury to the insurer and to ensure confidentiality of information received.
  • Assist the Workplace Rehabilitation Manager to reputed company, coordinate and monitor workplace rehabilitation strategies for injured workers and identify opportunities for suitable duties. Support WPRM in developing suitable duties programs (to be signed off by WPRM) in consultation with injured workers and in accordance with medical advice. Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Professional Qualifications
  • Tertiary/T.A.F.E. Relevant Tertiary Qualifications and/or Education in the following disciplines:
  • Occupational Health & Safety or Environmental Management (desirable)
  • Risk Management qualification or equivalent (desirable)
  • Certificate IV (or equivalent) in Occupational Safety & Health
  • Qualification in Auditing and or equivalent (desirable)
  • Certificate IV (or equivalent) in Training and Assessment (desirable)

Experience
  • Understanding of relevant Work Health & Safety (WHS) and Workers Compensation Regulations and Legislation.
  • Understanding of Quality ISO 9001, Food Safety ISO 22000, ISO 45001 and Environment 14001 would be an advantage

  • Understand company and management obligations to the customer/s.
