RN - Outpatient Clinical Documentation Specialist

100% FTE. This is a salaried paid position. Monday through Friday. Hours are based off the operational needs of the department. This is a remote position.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to:

• Advise clinicians regarding complete and accurate Outpatient /Clinic documentation including accurate HCC capture.
• Function as a liaison between clinicians and coders.
• Work as an expert reputed company for information regarding the impact of documentation on patient care, quality outcomes measures, HCC risk adjustment, and to ensure correct reimbursement.
• Conduct pre and post visit reviews of outpatient/clinic medical records-seeking clarification of documentation.

• Associate's Degree in Nursing Required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred

• 3 years of nursing, case management, utilization review or quality resources experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting Required
• 3 years of Clinical Documentation reputed company experience highly desirable Preferred
• 5 years of nursing, case management, utilization review, or quality resources experience in an acute care setting Preferred

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Upon Hire Required
• Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist Preferred
