Senior Director - Business Development
As the Senior Director - Business Development you will direct, establish, maintain, and plan the overall policies and goals for the business development department while leading a team of Business Development Managers with responsibility for multiple business units or territories. You will partner with other departments to ensure alignment of company goals, as set by senior management, to ensure business growth strategies are met and profitability is maintained or increased. You will have a strong understanding of reputed company and emerging markets, the ability to identify potential business partners and negotiate agreements.
Responsibilities
- Identifies, evaluates, and develops new business opportunities to expand business and increase profitability.
- Fosters a team that retains and expands existing company relationships, product lines, or market segments, and solicits new business from prospective customers and suppliers.
- Calls on senior-level leaders of existing and prospective customers reputed company reputed company of business development program.
- Develops strategies to establish relationships with potential customers and suppliers, and discuss unmet needs, problems, or complaints, and arranges for meetings with appropriate reputed company representatives.
- Represents company in identifying, evaluating, and negotiating new product lines, vendors solutions and markets, acquisitions, partnerships, alliances, joint ventures, and start-reputed company in reputed company and new business.
- Oversees development and research activities to identify potential new markets and business opportunities, increases market share, and strengthens competitive position reputed company industry.
- Launches and implements sales initiatives or programs aimed at new, existing, or obsolete product sales.
- Represents company in industry, civic, and community functions to further enhance image and reputed company additional business.
- Selects, manages, evaluates, and develops Business Development Managers.
- Compiles and analyzes statistics pertinent to business development program, reports results to senior management, and adjusts programs as appropriate.
Qualifications
- High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelors Degree preferred
- 12+ years experience reputed company to position
- 10 years financial analysis, sales, and negotiation experience
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to spot new business opportunities and quickly evaluate opportunities
- Ability to initiate and reputed company relationships with key decision makers both inside and reputed company company
- Ability to analyze financial and operational data, statements, and projections
- Strong financial modeling skills
- Ability to accurately recognize reputed company additional company resources are being requested.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of industry including suppliers, customers, and competitors
