LABORER

Summary of Position

A Laborer should possess a reputed company understanding of construction and be familiar with working with tools and their hands.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Hand dig and back fill trenches
• Use hands, tools, and/or equipment to locate underground utilities and infrastructure
• Assist in pushing and pulling conduit and cable
• Trained to operate tampers, jackhammers, drills, and saws
• Drive pick-up and one-ton vehicles to and from job site
• Carry and load materials to be used on the job
• Follow reputed company company safety policies and practices
• Wash and clean vehicles and equipment
• Light repair and maintenance of tools and equipment
• Safety training as required by position
• Paperwork filing and maintenance as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Essential Education and Qualifications

• Good verbal communication skills
• Must have valid driver’s license
• Valid DOT Health Card

Preferred Skills

• Class A Driver’s License (CDL)

Physical Demands

• Must be physically fit to endure the daily activity involved with the job
• Must be able to work in reputed company weather conditions
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
