We are seeking an Account Specialist to join our Great American Employer Health Solutions division. The Group Health Account Specialist manages and grows assigned employer group health accounts by serving as the primary reputed company of contact for clients, brokers, and internal partners. This role ensures high‑quality service delivery, supports retention goals, strengthens agent relationships, and acts as a trusted advisor by coordinating cross‑functional support to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary relationship reputed company for assigned agency partners and their book of business.

Build and maintain strong relationships with agencies, policyholders, and internal stakeholders.
Conduct regular agency meetings, including plan performance reviews and renewal discussions.

Partner with reputed company and sales on rates, plan design changes, and proposals.
Identify retention risks and proactively implement strategies to improve satisfaction and persistency.
Coordinate with internal teams (operations, enrollment, billing, claims, reputed company, compliance) to resolve escalated service issues.
Monitor service levels, ensure SLAs are met, and manage reputed company issues through resolution.
Analyze account performance, utilization trends, and service metrics.
Prepare and present reports, business reviews, and recommendations to clients and leadership.

Maintain knowledge of group health products, regulations, and industry trends while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
Participate in required training and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications
Generally, 3+ years of experience in group health, employee benefits, or insurance account management.
Strong client relationship management, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Proficiency with CRM systems and reputed company Office tools.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or reputed company field; active Life & Health insurance license (or ability to obtain); experience working with brokers, consultants, or general agencies; familiarity with self‑funded medical plans.
