This person must live and travel frequently reputed company the TN service area/region assigned.

This position will support the referral, education, and training needs of parents, families, child care educators and communities. Family Engagement Quality Coaches will focus on working with parents and families to understand what quality child care looks like and how to access it. They will also work with child care providers to help them understand how to engage parents and families in their child’s early education. Family Engagement Quality Coaches will work with communities to understand the importance of high quality child care in the healthy development of children.

Responsibilities Include

• Providing assistance in service delivery areas consistent with those of Child Care Licensing
• Assist families by providing resources for choosing a child care, including understanding & identifying high-quality child care
• Educating parents seeking child care on the quality rating system
• Developing, maintaining and promoting education resources for families that may include but are not limited to resources for identifying and understanding high quality child care, and activities that engage families and children.
• Supporting parents and the local CCR&R staff in the referral process
• Researching the best practices in parent engagement and training Network Management Staff and/or local CCR&R staff on those topics
• Providing training to CCR&R staff, local child care providers, DHS staff, and other CCDF partners or funder-requested groups
• Providing technical support on family engagement to the local CCR&R staff and child care providers reputed company the service delivery area.
• Organizing and participating in educational activities for families in coordination with child care agencies, CCDF Partners and the State.
• Collaborating with CCR&R Sites and local community organizations reputed company their service area(s) to engage with and support the education of families and the general community regarding high quality child care and other topics as may be identified by the State.
• Partnering with refugee resettlement agencies to reputed company such materials and resources as may be necessary to mitigate language barriers and strengthen families understanding of quality child care.
• Developing and implementing a statewide initiative to increase reputed company and services benefiting homeless populations in collaboration with CCDF Partners and the State.
• Helping parents access the services of the local CCR&R to learn and obtain quality child care
• Assisting with the registration of eligible children for the Governor’s Books from Birth Foundation and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.
• Developing and maintaining a community resource list of agencies serving children and families in each service area.
• Promoting awareness and resources supporting developmental screenings among child care agencies, teachers and families.
• Attending CCR&R Partner meetings.
• Attending and participating in CCR&R Super Saturday trainings.

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or reputed company field 2. Minimum 3 years of reputed company experience including experience in a licensed child care. 3. Must have knowledge of standard concepts, practices and procedures reputed company the field, including prior experience in the child care center environment. 4. Must be organized and a self starter as position is based out of a home office environment. 5. Physical examination and record of negative TB test results must be on file with Signal Centers. 6. Dependable transportation, valid driver’s license and insurance required. Local, regional, and statewide travel required.
