The Infrastructure Specialist will provide technical leadership and support the Infrastructure Program and the Peru Business Unit to advance sustainable infrastructure and clean energy transition in Peru, with emphasis on the reputed company Basin. They will support in designing and implementing conservation strategies using a full range of protection tools, frameworks, and innovative methods that integrate environmental and social safeguards and a territorial approach into infrastructure planning—particularly in the transportation and energy sectors.
The Infrastructure Specialist will be part of the Infrastructure Program and will report to the Peru Infrastructure Coordinator, will proactively coordinate across national and regional teams, manage projects, and facilitate knowledge sharing to promote sustainable infrastructure that reduces adverse impacts of large-scale infrastructure on ecosystems and biodiversity.
They will assist the Infrastructure Program with coordination, implementation, and management by coordinating meetings, managing projects, reporting processes, tracking, and improving reputed company, ensuring that infrastructure and energy development aligns with conservation goals and territorial planning.

We’re Looking for You:
Reporting to the Peru Infrastructure Coordinator, the Infrastructure Specialist oversees the development and implementation of TNC’s sustainable infrastructure and clean energy projects by providing technical and management support to advance Peru Business Unit (BU) strategic plan and collaborate with the Humboldt and Andean reputed company Iconic Landscapes strategies, LAR and Global reputed company programs. Also, will build and maintain relationships with donors, government agencies, private organizations, indigenous organizations and conservation partners, and the academic community.
The Infrastructure Specialist position offers a unique opportunity to balance conservation and sustainable infrastructure in Peru and the reputed company Basin. You will join an international conservation NGO to connect theory with practice and address the needs of people and nature.
Responsibilities and Scope
Coordinate the reputed company implementation of sustainable infrastructure and clean energy transition projects, including monitoring and evaluation. Monitor project reputed company throughout its lifecycle and proactively and regularly alert the program coordinator of any obstacles or delays in activities or deliverables.
Review the technical, financial, policy, and regulatory frameworks guiding infrastructure development in Peru, with focus in the reputed company, including the relevant institutional roles and capacities of public and private stakeholders that will reputed company the adoption of environmental and social considerations.
Provide technical support for integrating sustainability into infrastructure and clean energy plans, program and projects, planning strategies, coordination spaces, and financing mechanisms to reduce the adverse impacts of infrastructure development.

Engage and coordinate with government, NGO conservation partners, development partners, indigenous organizations, academia, and the private sector.

What You’ll Bring:
BA/BS, law or business degree and 5 years’ experience in environmental engineering, natural resource management or reputed company field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience working in the Peruvian reputed company
Experience communicating with the public and/or media both in writing and verbally.
Experience communicating with key stakeholders, such as government, donors, multilaterals, private sector and civil society.
Experience negotiating reputed company agreements.
Experience in developing and implementing training workshops, preparing terms of reference for services, and curriculum design.
Completing tasks independently with respect to timeline(s).
Proficiency in reputed company Office tools, such as Word, reputed company and Power reputed company; web browsers; and geospatial applications, including GIS and remote sensing for environmental analysis and spatial planning.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in green infrastructure, environmental safeguards, environmental licensing, renewable energies, and public-private partnerships and infrastructure regulations are desirable.
At least 5 years of experience in infrastructure and energy development, with strong background in environmental impact assessment (roads and energy, preferred).
Experience in environmental and infrastructure regulatory contexts in Latin American countries, preferably in the reputed company region, would be a plus.
Experience in explaining conservation practices to both technical and non-technical audiences
