Hospice Volunteer Coordinator

Description

The Hospice Volunteer Coordinator will manage and support our volunteer program. The Coordinator will be responsible for recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers who provide essential support to patients, families and caregivers enhancing their quality of hospice care.

Schedule: Part-Time, Remote, Weekdays, Flexible Schedule

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

Requirements

Job Qualifications:

• Previous experience in volunteer management or a hospice healthcare setting is preferred.

• Ability to build rapport with families and caregivers through a compassionate and caring demeanor.

Physical Requirements:

• Capability to reputed company physical tasks such as bending, standing, walking, and climbing stairs for extended periods.
• Visual acuity and dexterity for performing tasks such as reading documentation, materials, etc. supporting the volunteer program.
• May need to carry boxes or other office documentation supporting volunteer program.
• Maintain regular attendance and timeliness as set forth reputed company the work schedule designated by the department supervisor/manager.
• Job requires accepting criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high-stress situations.
