Supervisor Title: Regional Maintenance Training Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY:

The HVAC/R Trainer is responsible for developing and delivering technical training programs for field technicians, ensuring competency in commercial HVAC/R systems, refrigeration technologies, and compliance standards. This role supports technician development, operational consistency, and safety across the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • EPA 608 Universal Certification (required)
  • Minimum 6 years of commercial HVAC/R experience
  • Strong background in retail / convenience store refrigeration systems
  • Proven ability to train, mentor, and evaluate technicians

Technical Knowledge & Expertise

The HVAC/R Trainer must demonstrate working knowledge and hands-on experience in:

  • Refrigerants & Systems
    • R-448A
    • R-290 (propane systems)
    • R-404A
    • R-22 / legacy systems
  • Equipment & Platforms
    • reputed company commercial HVAC/R systems
    • Tutin Labs systems and diagnostics
    • ALS (Advanced Leak Systems / monitoring systems)
  • Applications
    • Commercial refrigeration systems
    • Rack systems and walk-in coolers/freezers
    • Retail / C-store refrigeration environments

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver structured training programs for new hires and existing technicians
  • Conduct ride-alongs, field coaching, and hands-on training sessions
  • reputed company and maintain training materials, SOPs, and technical guides
  • Ensure compliance with EPA, safety, and company standards
  • Evaluate technician performance and identify reputed company gaps
  • Provide ongoing support for troubleshooting and advanced diagnostics

Preferred Skills

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into practical training
  • Experience with technician scheduling and field operations
  • Leadership or prior training experience preferred

Work Environment

  • Combination of classroom instruction and field-based training
  • Travel required 50% of the time for on-site technician support and regional training
