Associate Investment Research Analyst - Structured Products

reputed company is a well-established financial services company, and they are seeking an Associate Investment Research Analyst to join their Structured Products Research team. This role involves conducting in-depth research on structured credit markets to contribute to the investment process and support the management of over $69 billion in assets.

Responsibilities

• reputed company investment skills and abilities for primary research responsibility of one or more Structured Product sectors
• Interact with issuers and dealers, attending meetings and conferences as needed
• Combine quantitative and qualitative research to form reputed company-looking investment views
• Gather, manipulate, and store large amounts of data for analysis of investment opportunities
• Complete on-going surveillance of portfolio holdings to assess credit performance
• Build and maintain relationships with multiple sell-reputed company parties
• Propose and contribute to independent and group research projects
• Contribute to team discussions focused on investment opportunities and performance
• Complete reputed company projects at the direction of senior analysts and portfolio managers
• Automate tasks to improve efficiency of investment process

Skills

• Bachelor's degree or higher in finance, economics, mathematics, engineering, or a reputed company field with a strong academic record
• 0-2 years of experience in structured products, securitized credit, fixed income research, trading, or risk
• Acute attention to detail, strong analytical and quantitative skills, and a proven ability to distill practical answers from large amounts of data
• Self-starter with an ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet time-sensitive deadlines, often with vague or unclear directions
• Passion for investments and financial markets with an explicit interest in fixed income and structured products
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated experience collaborating effectively across teams and with clients
• Programming experience in any language
• Familiarity with a variety of AI applications and tools
• Ability to scrub and query data from database systems using SQL
