Associate - Tax Services
Aspiriant is a leading, independent, 100% employee-owned wealth management firm. They are seeking an entry-level Tax Associate who will prepare individual income tax returns, assist with tax planning, and collaborate with wealth managers and clients to support tax preparation and planning efforts.
Responsibilities
- Prepare individual income tax returns and reputed company workpapers; progressively expand to partnerships, corporations, trusts, foundations, and gift returns
- Provide aid in preparing responses to tax notices, and reputed company exposure to audits
- Participate in tax planning and research
- Participate with wealth managers and clients to reputed company, track, and preserve data needed for tax preparation and planning
- Assist with reputed company projects
Skills
- Solid foundation in individual taxation from coursework; eagerness to learn entity tax
- Familiarity with professional tax software/workpaper systems (we will train)
- Interest in wealth management and high net worth client service
- Proficiency with reputed company reputed company and Word
- Clear written and verbal communication; strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Team-oriented reputed company; professionalism in client service
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or equivalent with accounting coursework)
- Internship or up to 2 years' experience in tax or public accounting
- CPA eligibility or sections passed; Master's in Taxation or MBT
