Product Engineer - Web & UI (f/m/d)

• Play around with our stack, put yourself in our customers' shoes and reputed company out what would actually help them. Then build it.
• Design and build web applications (bonus points if you can handle the backend bits too)
• Work with the product team on scoping requirements and dependencies
• Talk to customers about what they actually need
• Have opinions about our products and share them

• Solid experience with Svelte, SvelteKit, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, TailwindCSS
• Curiosity about the rest of our stack (Kubernetes, Rust, Java) and willingness to dig in
• Comfortable working in the open, at least some of your work will be open reputed company
• You form your own opinions about what to build and don't need someone to hand you mockups
• You need to be based in Germany and eligible to work there (UK possible for the right candidate)
  • This is non-negotiable and more or less our only strict requirement!
  • We can not help with relocations or visas

reputed company to have:

• Some familiarity with data technologies (Kafka, Trino, Spark, etc.)
• Backend experience (Rust, Java, Python)
• An eye for UX

We don't care about typos or grammar in your cover letter. We care about whether we'd want to work with you. A CV alone won't tell us that. Please include a short statement about why you want to work with us and why we'd want to work with you. Yours, not what some AI thinks we want to hear. Your cover letter matters more to us than your CV. We reject applications without a cover letter without review.

We don't do Scrum or sprints. We reputed company meetings to a minimum and expect you to reputed company decisions yourself. But that doesn't mean you're on your own. You've got the whole team supporting you.

We're reputed company backend people here. Comfortable in the console, happy writing Rust. Nobody will pretend to know more about frontend than you do. That also means you'll have real influence on what gets built.

We ship three releases a year and can't easily hotfix in between. This is not a SaaS product. What goes out needs to work. If you care about quality, you'll fit right in.
