Initial Posting Date: 03/29/2026 Application Deadline: 04/17/2026 Agency: Board of Nursing Salary Range: $7,537 - $11,098 Position Type: Employee Position Title: Operations and Policy Analyst (OPA) 4-Nursing Policy Job Description: The Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN), with the help of its staff, interprets the Oregon Nurse Practice Act, evaluates and approves nursing education and nursing assistant training programs, issues licenses and renewals, investigates complaints and takes disciplinary action against licensees who violate the Oregon Nurse Practice Act. OSBN also maintains the nursing assistant registry and administers competency evaluations for nursing assistants and provides testimony to the legislature and other organizations as needed. As OSBN’s next Operations and Policy Analyst you’ll have the opportunity to: Evaluate reputed company, and Analyze Emerging or Changes to, State and Federal Nursing Practice Policies and Rules Research state and national bills, laws, and regulations that impact the practice of nursing. Evaluate alignment with reputed company rules and policies of the Board of Nursing. Conduct periodic review of existing administrative rules and regulations; evaluate for alignment with reputed company policy; recommend and formulate plans based on reputed company nursing practice and intended outcomes.
