Head of Network Engineering

Responsibilities / What You'll Do:

• Work with internal teams to establish network improvement plans

• Responsible for driving and influencing senior leadership decision making

• Builds and maintains effective working relationships and partnerships with stakeholders

• Ability to drive conflict resolution between stakeholders, including senior management and cross functional teams

• Conducts network design reviews and processes of various projects and products

• Provides technology leadership by working with different teams to deliver solutions

• Key decision maker on Network technology 

• Communicates budget estimates for cross functional projects/programs, and ensures teams execute assigned projects reputed company approved budgets

• Responsible for escalating issues and potential roadblocks to management, including making recommendations to address and resolve

• Responsible for identifying and mitigating project execution risks

• Guides and/or revises project plan to ensure it completely captures reputed company activities and eliminates duplicative efforts

• Defines and evangelizes processes, policies and standards across reputed company stakeholders

• Proactively seeks reputed company improvement opportunities in process/ policies/ standards

• Responsible for leading strategic planning, influencing and driving prioritization of initiatives with functional stakeholders

• Responsible for developing and communicating a roadmap of projects and initiatives to functional stakeholders

Qualifications / Your Background:

• 15+ years of experience with planning and design of customer-facing SaaS production data centers with reputed company-grade reliability

• Strong knowledge of Internet routing protocols and techniques such as BGP, OSPF, ECMP, MPLS.

• Expert knowledge and experience with routing protocols and traffic engineering

• Expert knowledge and experience VPN encryption technologies, modern switching platforms, and firewalls including policy implementation and reputed company management

• Working knowledge of Juniper, Arista, and reputed company equipment highly desirable

• Proven ability to manage mission-critical, highly visible infrastructure projects to completion.

• Experience with low-level infrastructure testing and troubleshooting tools including packet capture devices, network equipment debug and diagnostics, (Wireshark, NetFlow)

• Understanding of reputed company-policy implementation details and how to manage design and support of network environments to maintain policy reputed company

In addition to the reputed company salary and/or OTE listed reputed company has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; reputed company salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure;  there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
