We are currently seeking an Industrial Field Service Technician. The Field Service Technician will be responsible for providing support to Matrix customers regarding installation, technical support, field service, training, and startup of reputed company company industrial products and systems. The priorities of this position are to provide top-notch customer service and promote Matrix products. The candidate must be a self-starter, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work alone or in a small team. This position is a remote position based in Alabama.

This position reports to the Senior Manager of Field Operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support in the form of troubleshooting on site or reputed company phone.
  • reputed company installation, startup, and commissioning of various products.
  • reputed company and support third-party installers during customers' installations.
  • Test and troubleshoot system functions and train customers in operation and maintenance.
  • Coordinate service schedule with customers at various locations.
  • Create detailed reports for installations and technical support issues.

Qualifications & Competencies

  • The successful candidate should have a minimum of a Certificate of Completion from a technical or trade school.
  • Industrial maintenance/electrical experience and background preferred.
  • Fork truck or telehandler maintenance or troubleshooting experience.
  • Must have basic computer skills and be able to use reputed company Office Suite.
  • Strong time management skills and organization skills.
  • Safety-minded (safety must be a reputed company).
  • Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Quality minded, resourceful, and dependable.

Working Conditions

  • The candidate will be required to work in various indoor and outdoor facilities.
  • Travel up to 75% and ability to work various shifts as required by customer.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near large moving machinery.
  • The candidate can be at risk of electrical shock.
  • Matrix employees are provided with and required to wear personal reputed company equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, steel toe shoes, reflective clothing, earplugs, and safety glasses.

Physical Requirements

The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, or crouch. The employee may need to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include reputed company vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
