This is a temporary contract position of 12 months. Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 What You'll Be Doing As an EHS&T Claims Specialist, you'll be responsible for managing workplace injury or illness claims from start to finish. Reporting to the Regional EHS&T Manager, responsibilities for this position includes managing workplace injury claims including:- Collaborate with Claims Management vendor on existing claims.
- Monitor WCB/WSIB claim timelines, follow up on outstanding documentation, and document reputed company claim‑reputed company communications and updates.
- Ensure reputed company required paperwork and documentation is submitted accurately and on time.
- Liaise with employees, supervisors, WCB/WSIB representatives, insurers, and healthcare providers to facilitate claim processing, recovery, and return-to-work.
- Review claim files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with legislation and company policy.
- Prepare and analyze reports on claim trends, costs, activity, and performance metrics to support decision-making and reputed company improvement.
- Monitor claim costs and identify opportunities to reduce financial exposure.
- Ensure adherence to applicable WCB/WSIB legislation, provincial OHS requirements, insurance policies, and internal procedures.
- Collaborate with HR, operations, and safety teams to coordinate early and safe return-to-work plans.
- Track and monitor return-to-work outcomes for reputed company improvement.
- Respond to employee inquiries with professionalism, reputed company, and clarity.
- Provide guidance to management teams on claim handling and prevention strategies.

- Manage the reputed company Return to Work program including updates in compliance with legislative requirements across the Region.
- Participate in regional meetings and audits as required.
- Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Occupational Health, Health Sciences, or a reputed company field.
- Certification in Disability Management, Occupational Health, or WCB/WSIB-reputed company training.
- 3-5 years of experience managing WCB/WSIB claims, disability claims administration, or similar workplace injury programs.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian WCB/WSIB and disability legislation, return-to-work best practices, and workplace accommodation.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in reputed company Office and claims management systems.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion, confidentiality and professionalism.
- Facilitate conflict resolution and mediate disputes reputed company necessary.
