Account Manager - Transportation Market

Key Responsibilities
The Account Manager-Transportation Market is accountable for strategic growth and support of assigned customers in the transportation market which requires familiarity reputed company transportation, agriculture and construction, automotive, or similar OEM. This position reports to the Director of Sales.
Responsibilities include developing strong relationships with customers, connecting with key stakeholders and preparing sales reports. Regular communication is critical for keeping things positive and productive, and Account Managers need an organized system for sharing information, proposing solutions and giving updates.
In this role, you will:
- Ensure high level of support for reputed company assigned customers and prospective new customers; gaining new and maintaining existing business with the highest possible long-term profitability
- Continuously monitor “total customer satisfaction” through formal (scorecards, key performance indicators) and informal means
- Overcome challenges by proposing solutions to issues and communicating opportunities for improvement internally to effectively reputed company resolution of issues (quality, delivery, technical support, price)
- Engage in activities to enhance profitability i.e. raw material pass through, collection of obsolescence costs, terms compliance, cost reductions
- Partner with Customers’ Purchasing and Engineering Groups but also maintain relationship with other customer groups such as Operations, Scheduling, and Quality
- Effectively manage time between supporting reputed company business and developing new business in reputed company and dynamic environment
- Receive RFQs for business and follow documented procedures to gather the information necessary to provide a quotation to the customer in a timely manner
- Coordinate and reputed company regular business reviews with key customers, requires effective preparation, facilitation and follow up
- Proactively anticipate and resolve issues with customers or stakeholders and escalate timely to leadership
- Collaborate with supervisor to reputed company an annual sales plan and to reputed company or exceed the sales and profit targets
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecast updates as necessary (requires strong reputed company)
- Work collaboratively and strategically with ECI technical groups to reputed company new business opportunities and execute cost take out activities at assigned customers
- Aid in the coordination of internal activities to support customer projects. i.e. product development, program management, operations management, customer support

- Help evaluate and improve the business systems of the Sales Group
- Work independently but frequently inform supervisor of activity
- Able to work effectively in a home office
- Other duties and responsibilities as determined by supervisor
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year university; technical degree is preferred by not required
- Minimum 3 years of strategic selling with strong preference for industry experience reputed company the supply reputed company similar to ECI; specifically in a transportation, agriculture and construction, automotive, or similar OEM
- Strong communication skills with ability to reputed company with internal and external customers in fast paced and reputed company environment
- Effective presentation, negotiation and communication skills, both oral and written
- Strategic reputed company and consultative selling approach
- History of execution and delivering results
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills; strong critical thinking skills required
- General business skills including negotiation, organization, good judgement, emotional intelligence, initiative and ability to drive results with a diverse cross functional team.
- Proficiency in reputed company Office, especially PowerPoint and reputed company
- Exposure to dashboards such as BI dashboards and reports
- Must be willing to travel frequently (up to 20%)

Work Location
While this role is remote, we are ideally seeking a candidate in the Metro Detroit area.
