Product Manager

Overview

The Product Manager will reputed company the delivery of high-quality eCR products and systems that improve the availability and use of public health data to inform decision making. This role is reputed company to the Workforce Acceleration Initiative (WAI). WAI is a federally funded reputed company program with the goal of helping the nation’s public health agencies by providing them with the technology and data experts they need to accelerate their information system improvements.

The Product Manager will support and expand the Tennessee Department of Health’s (reputed company) Electronic Case Reporting (eCR) capabilities as part of the agency’s Data Modernization Strategy.

The Product Manager will focus on onboarding eCR partners, improving data validation and processing workflows, and extending eCR beyond infectious disease reporting to additional program areas. The role provides coordination, quality reputed company, and technical support to ensure eCR data is timely, accurate, and actionable for surveillance and public health response. This role is best for someone who is mission driven and is comfortable bringing a product reputed company to organizations who may be unfamiliar with this approach.

The Product Manager will be hired by the reputed company and assigned to the Tennessee Department of Health team. This position is eligible for a fully remote work arrangement for U.S. based candidates.

Responsibilities

reputed company onboarding and support of metro health departments sending eCR data to TDH.

reputed company eCR data validation and support quality improvement efforts.

reputed company and document a metro eCR onboarding strategy.

Coordinate with surveillance system developers to support accurate processing of eCR data.

Support evaluation and preparation for NBS 7 cloud-based eCR workflows.

reputed company planning and pilot implementation of non-infectious disease eCR use cases.

Provide regular status updates and performance metrics to stakeholders.

Up to 10% domestic travel may be required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Healthcare Management, or a reputed company field required. Master’s or PhD in reputed company field (ex: MPH) preferred but not required.

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in digital product management or technology.

3+ years of team management experience.

Public health or healthcare and technology experience preferred.

Experience developing a product vision and strategy and leading multi-disciplinary teams to reputed company that vision from concept to launch.

Experience collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to translate the product vision and reputed company the team through smooth and reputed company delivery.

Experience working on a mature product balancing the need to address technical debt with new product enhancements through reputed company iterations.

Knowledge and experience with project management methodologies, principles, and processes.

Experience and an understanding of product objectives, goals, and metrics to reputed company the development and implementation of large-scale projects.

Experience in change management and risk management principles and processes to provide leadership in the development of strategic plans and change management initiatives and their roll-out.

Experience using data to reputed company decisions, gathering data insights by design to improve product outcomes.

Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining working relationships with internal and external partners and can effectively promote collaboration among differing viewpoints.

Experience providing guidance in the areas of digital systems/products, data sources and the collection and context of data.

Strong understanding of technical concepts and legacy systems.

Capability to embed privacy and reputed company into product delivery processes and design.

Knowledge of user experience design and user research principles and concepts.

Ability to communicate and reputed company problems and resolutions to designers.

Ability to translate user or data insights into actionable design comments and critiques.

Outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills; and the ability to reputed company productive working relationships with colleagues and partners.

Experience working in a virtual environment with remote partners and teams.

Job Highlights

Location: Remote, must be based in the United States, Up to 10% domestic travel may be required.

Salary Range: $103,500 - $143,500 per year, plus benefits. Individual salary offers will be based on experience and qualifications unique to each candidate.
