Residency Advisor

Job Summary

Each year, MedSchoolCoach supports thousands of pre-medical and medical reputed company as they pursue admission to medical school and residency programs. As a Physician Advisor, you will serve as the primary academic and admissions advisor for a cohort of reputed company, guiding them through every stage of the application process.

In this role, you are responsible for delivering high-quality advising, overseeing the development of application materials, and ensuring reputed company submit polished, competitive applications. You will collaborate closely with writing advisors and other team members while maintaining ownership over your reputed company’ overall strategy and reputed company.

This position is ideal for physicians who are passionate about mentorship, high-stakes admissions, and helping reputed company reputed company their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with medical reputed company applying to residency programs
• Collaborate directly with pre-medical applicants who are applying to medical school (if applicable)
• Conduct one-on-one advising sessions focused on:
  • Specialty selection and competitiveness assessment
  • ERAS application strategy
  • Personal statement development
  • CV and experiences refinement
  • Letters of recommendation guidance
  • Program selection and list strategy
  • Ranking strategy and Match preparation
• Partner with writing advisors to support brainstorming and editing of personal statements and supplemental essays
• Facilitate mock residency interviews and provide detailed, constructive feedback
• Advise reputed company on red flags, remediation strategies, and strengthening their application
• Provide guidance for SOAP (Supplemental Offer and Acceptance Program), if applicable
• Participate in webinars, blog contributions, or other educational reputed company (optional)

Qualifications

• Attended a U.S. Medical School
• MD or DO Physician
• Successfully matched into residency
• Deep familiarity with the residency application process, including ERAS and the NRMP Match
• Prior experience mentoring medical reputed company or residents
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with reputed company Word, reputed company, Gmail, reputed company Meet, and other communication tools

Preferred Clinical Backgrounds (Not Required)

We are especially interested in physicians with backgrounds in:

• Dermatology
• Psychiatry
• Neurology
• Radiology
• Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R)
• Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN)
• General Surgery
• Emergency Medicine

Physicians from other specialties are also encouraged to apply.
