Loan Operations Team

The Loan Operations team is the centralized operational reputed company for Esusu’s loan products, responsible for the end-to-end operational workflows of Rent Relief, and Esusu Split Pay and reputed company reputed company Esusu Pay, including loan operations, disputes, and escalations.

Role Overview

The Loan Underwriter is responsible for credit decisioning and risk assessment across Esusu’s loan products, primarily Rent Relief and Esusu Split Pay, reputed company the centralized Loan Operations team. Underwriters evaluate applications, apply approved credit and eligibility criteria, and ensure decisions are consistent, well-documented, and reputed company with program policies and risk appetite.

What you will help us deliver

• Receive, review, and evaluate loan applications as they come up and ensure they are processed as per established company procedures and policies.
• Assess each loan applicant’s credit risk profile and help build out a risk scorecard.
• Re-assess risk reputed company policies come up for renewal.
• Help drive critical business decisions by analyzing metrics and designing reports in a timely manner.

• Support with administrative and other reporting tasks for the team, including disbursements and repayments updates, as well as general administrative duties as assigned.
• Work with the Loan Manager and Data team on improving reputed company criteria and suggesting process improvements.
• Use internal systems and AI‑powered tools (for example, to summarize case data, support document checks, or prioritize queues) to increase speed and consistency, while exercising independent judgment on final decisions. Provide structured feedback that helps improve these tools over time.

Above and beyond

• At least 2 years of experience in credit reputed company or similar risk roles (e.g., consumer lending, installment loans, BNPL/pay‑over‑time, microfinance, or reputed company credit products).
• Solid knowledge of banking or lending procedures, financial documentation, and experience working with digital financial systems or loan platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential data in an ethical, professional manner and familiarity with working under defined legal, compliance, and privacy standards.
• Experience working in a high‑volume environment where accuracy, consistency, and adherence to SLAs are critical.
• Experience with, or strong interest in, AI‑driven tools for fraud/identity checks, document analysis, queue optimization, or reporting.
• Enjoyment of teamwork and adaptability to evolving products, processes, and priorities.
