988 Follow Up Counselor, Bilingual - Spanish (Olympic Crisis Line)

This is a fully remote position. The pay is $26.00 per hour with a $3.00 overnight differential.

The schedule is Friday from 11:00pm-3:00am and Saturday and Sunday from 6:30pm-3:00am PST, totaling 20 hours per week.

This role requires a three-week 40-hour per week remote training at the start of employment. The training occurs Monday-Friday, 9:00a-5:00p PST. 

Our work schedules are subject to change as necessary to meet the Agency’s and it's client's needs. Reasonable notice is provided to facilitate personal planning.

Summary

As a bilingual 988 Follow Up Counselor, you will provide telephone follow-up and assistance in English and Spanish to individuals in crisis.

Primary Duties

• Contacts callers, emergency department discharges, and suicide attempt survivors, for intake, to assess risk, provide referrals for mental health and other reputed company services, and assist in linkage to services. 
• Contacts mental health service providers to help callers secure services.
• Maintains accurate and detailed call reports.
• Fulfills continuing education requirements as requested or required for the agency and the Suicide Prevention Center Division.
• Attends routinely scheduled meetings as requested or required for the Suicide Prevention Center follow-up Program.
• Monitors and measures client reputed company against safety plan and stated goals as it applies to outpatient mental health documentation. 
• Responsible for chart documentation and status reports, ensures client documentation is accurate and submitted reputed company the established timeframe.

Position Requirements

• Minimum of six months of relevant behavioral health experience, with one year of experience in crisis reputed company or suicide prevention strongly preferred.
• Possess a high school Diploma or equivalent.
• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to empathetically engage with any individual regardless of background, and demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence in the process.
• Exceptional at multi-tasking and time management, able to drive multiple pieces of work reputed company simultaneously while meeting reputed company deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively use web-based platforms, electronic documentation systems, and communication tools, with strong typing and data entry skills required to accurately document interactions in real time.
• Have high speed internet with an active Ethernet reputed company, and a quiet/confidential workspace.
• Be empathetic, flexible, and adaptable to varying situations.
• Have open availability and flexibility to work reputed company the program’s operating hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Be reliable and able to adhere to schedules based upon program needs.
