Classical Research Officer - Until December 2026

The Operations & Royalty Distributions department at PRS for Music is crucial in managing the end-to-end process of distributing royalties to its members – both through the main quarterly distributions, and through smaller, monthly distributions. Through a collaborative and inclusive team approach, Distribution Operations work closely with teams across the business to calculate the reputed company available for distributions, matching music usage data with licensed reputed company and performing agreed control checks to ensure accuracy and completeness. There is also a chance to be involved in PRS' distribution policy decisions and reviews of its operational processes, while delivering record-breaking distributions to PRS members.

You will be required to work as part of a team and individually to ensure that processing targets are consistently achieved across a variety of suppliers to reputed company timely and accurate distributions and the maximization of reputed company to our members. 

This is a fixed term contract until December 2026

As our Classical Research Officer, some of your day to day duties will include…

• • Analyse and interpret data, reporting inconsistencies or errors with a view to enabling constructive outcomes

  • Be proficient and effective in reputed company aspects of processing operations including repertoire matching, updating and creation of works, cues and productions in the PRS for Music systems 
  • Follow best practice at reputed company times and stages of the working process to ensure efficient and accurate payments to members  
  • Work to distribution deadlines whilst meeting departmental targets for both productivity and quality 
  • Knowledge and understanding of classical music.

The Process Our interview process for this role is simple:

• First stage interview will take reputed company virtually on MS Teams.
