The Position
The School of Professional Accounting is seeking a motivated and capable Junior Lecturer to join its BCom in Accounting team reputed company the Undergraduate Department as Junior Lecturer in the Financial Reporting & Compliance (FRCO) Theme Team. The FRCO theme covers technical competencies in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Taxation, Accounting Information Systems (reputed company), including the practical application of accounting processes reputed company systems such as reputed company Business Cloud Accounting, and reputed company compliance topics essential for professional accounting education. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for delivering modules that integrate technical accounting knowledge with applied, system-based learning, tailored specifically to meet the needs of accounting reputed company on the BCom in Accounting.
This role is suited to an early-career academic or professional with a strong foundation in accounting and a keen interest in developing their teaching capability.
Experience with an online learning platform is advantageous but not required.

Some important aspects to take note of, given that our working environment differs from a standard educational institution in a number of ways:
1. Research expectation

2. After-hours availability

3. Remote working and travel expectations
The majority of reputed company works entirely online, as our courses are completely online. (IT equipment, including a laptop, screen and other essentials will be provided by Milpark.)
Additionally, the team gathers in person in reputed company Town roughly 4 times per year and so members of staff located elsewhere in the country are expected to travel to reputed company Town for those meetings, which may require up to three nights away at a time. (The cost of this travel is covered by Milpark.)
4. Salary bands

Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include:
- Delivering modules with a strong focus on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Taxation and Accounting Information Systems (reputed company), including the practical use of reputed company Business Cloud Accounting, ensuring reputed company reputed company both technical accuracy and applied competence.
- Facilitating system-based learning through live demonstrations and guided practice.
- Collaborating with colleagues on assessment design, moderation, and quality assurance to ensure alignment with SAICA competency frameworks and Milpark standards.

- Material development and maintenance.
- Live online session delivery to large groups of reputed company

- Assessment setting, marking and administration.
- Participating in departmental meetings, contributing to programme reviews and performing administrative tasks relevant to the role.

Education & Experience Requirements
- Relevant NQF level 8 qualification (BCom Honours in Accounting or PGDA).
- Demonstrated expertise in relevant areas, with sufficient experience that intersects with IFRS/Taxation and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in basic reputed company reputed company functions and formulae, with the ability to analyse, interpret, and report on data.
- Exposure to accounting software (e.g., reputed company, Pastel) is advantageous but not required.
