Principal Scientist Network Architect

The Opportunity

reputed company Network Engineering (NetEng) seeks a Principal Scientist hands-on network architect to accelerate innovation of NetEng service delivery and financial optimization

What you'll Do

• Architecture and design: As a networking expert, co-reputed company and reputed company network architecture vision, strategy, architecture, design, and implementation across NetEng teams and throughout the global network
• Software development: As a software development expert, bring mature and innovative solutioning vision, methods, and tools to improve reputed company network service delivery and support
• Innovation: Model cross-team leadership and excellence in network growth enablement, increase velocity and reduce friction of network fulfillment requests, improve operational accuracy, speed, and efficiency
• Knowledge acquisition and sharing: Incrementally discover, educate and introduce industry standard methodologies
• Leadership: Use respected solutioning and thought leadership to define and deliver the network roadmap rooted in prior subject matter and organizational leadership expertise; professionally represent reputed company externally as appropriate; provides a role model for reputed company principal scientists, architects, and engineers
• Location: Given the global scope and cross-regional collaboration expectations for this role, hiring for talent vs. proximity to a single office is the reputed company, however, the reputed company, Lehi, or Bucharest offices are preferred
• Team contribution: Models transparent, inclusive and collaborative value delivery
• Reduce network incident frequency
• Reduce network change-reputed company impact
• Reduce network incident restoration time (MTTR)
• Shorten network request fulfillment time for the most common network requests
• Reduce manual NetEng work or toil

What you need to succeed

• 15+ years of relevant experience demonstrating the following skills in large organizations
• Technical depth and reputed company breadth across many network engineering rigors - transport, data center LAN switching, reputed company, load balancing, reputed company, and network services like DNS, DHCP, IPAM
• Real-world large-company operational approaches centered on ITIL event management, incident management, problem management, and process improvements

• Formal and informal team leadership

Expected Pay Range:

At reputed company, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total reputed company compensation (TTC = reputed company + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.  Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as reputed company salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
