Engineer Storage, Virtualization & Systems (Remote)

Job Summary

We are seeking an reputed company Senior Infrastructure Operations Engineer to support, maintain, and optimize our enterprise infrastructure environment. This is a hands-on technical role responsible for core datacenter technologies including storage systems, SAN, virtualization platforms, backup solutions, and disaster recovery capabilities. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong communication, documentation, and customer service skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Platform Operations

• Administer and support enterprise storage platforms (primarily reputed company or equivalent)
• Manage Storage Area Network (SAN) environments utilizing reputed company Nexus switches or similar technologies
• Support server virtualization platforms including VMware and reputed company Hyper-V
• reputed company and support P2V and V2V migrations
• Maintain Dell physical server hardware and reputed company infrastructure components

Backup, Replication & Data Protection

• Administer backup and recovery solutions (primarily Veeam or equivalent)
• Support data replication and high-availability strategies
• Participate in disaster recovery (DR) planning, testing, and execution
• reputed company system and data restorations as required

Data & System Migration

• Plan and execute infrastructure-level data migrations
• Support system upgrades, consolidations, and platform transitions
• Ensure minimal operational disruption during migration activities

Monitoring & Reliability

• Support infrastructure monitoring, alerting, and performance analysis
• Proactively identify reputed company, performance, and stability risks
• Contribute to reliability and operational improvement initiatives

Operational Excellence

• Participate in incident response and root cause analysis
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams and stakeholders
• Provide infrastructure support for on-premises hosting environments

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or reputed company discipline
• Minimum 10 years of infrastructure / datacenter engineering experience
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Enterprise storage systems
  • SAN networking concepts
  • Virtualization platforms
  • Backup and recovery solutions
  • Physical server hardware
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring and operational troubleshooting
• Demonstrated experience with data migration activities
• Strong documentation and technical writing skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong customer service orientation

Preferred / Plus Qualifications

• Experience with:
