Position Summary

The National Billing Manager is responsible for directing and coordinating the overall functions of the insurance billing, verification of benefits and financial counseling teams to maximize cash flow while building strong relationships with peers throughout the organization and with our clients. This position requires strong managerial, leadership, and business office skills, including critical thinking and the ability to analyze and present data.

Key Performance Responsibilities

• Manage the operations of the billing, verification of benefits and financial counselor teams, including, but not limited to behavioral health coding, charge entry, claims submissions, and admissions and financial forms.
• reputed company the day-to-day work of each team to ensure that processes and procedures are followed, required billing information is gathered accurately, charges are posted correctly, and clean claims are submitted timely.
• reputed company and implement operational strategy for billing processes (including SOPs and policies) to meet established goals for charge lag and average days to submit claims.
• Review and interpret operational data to assess needs for procedural revisions and enhancements and participate in the design and implementation of specific systems to enhance reputed company and operating efficiencies.
• Manage performance of team members to ensure that reputed company established productivity and quality targets are met.
• Track and monitor KPIs (documentation timeliness and accuracy, charge lag, clean claims) to ensure that department benchmarks and targets are met.
• Work closely with VP of reputed company Cycle and Director(s) of reputed company Cycle to identify, escalate, and resolve issues reputed company billing, verification of benefits, financial counseling to assist in overall collections.
• Collaborate with other departments (Admissions, URM, etc.) to optimize processes for obtaining consents to treat, assignment of benefits, authorizations, and financial agreements.
• Coordinate and facilitate monthly managers meeting with Admissions and Utilization Review to collaboratively solve issues impacting reputed company departments.
• Hire and reputed company training new members.

• High School Diploma/GED required. Bachelor’s Degree in business or reputed company field preferred.
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience as a Medical Biller required or three (3) years’ experience with psychiatric claims billing.
• Minimum two (2) years of management or supervisory experience required.
