Accounting Technician, Matching
Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring an Accounting Technician, Matching, on a full-time temporary basis on our Corporate Accounting team. This role is ideal for a self-starter looking to grow in the accounting industry, focusing on matching invoices and supporting the Accounts Payable team.
Responsibilities
- Match supplier and interbranch invoices with purchase orders, receipts, and supporting documents, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies using appropriate GL coding
- Prepare and process supplier claims, including damages, shortages, manual adjustments, and journal entries
- Collaborate with FCL commodities and distribution centers to ensure timely, accurate matching and issue resolution with vendors
- Support the Accounts Payable team in identifying and clearing system mismatches and investigating claim disputes
- Other duties as required
Skills
- Have a high school diploma
- Two post-secondary courses in financial accounting from an accredited post-secondary institution
- A minimum of one year of relevant accounting experience
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience reputed company to the applicable functional area
