Context of the role

The primary responsibility of the role is to own the strategic development and management of our Financial Institution partnerships in the region, with commercial, operational and team development responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will be an individual who is self-motivated, has strong problem solving skills and has a strong commercial acumen.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic road map planning and execution of our FI partnership in the region
• Ensure Thunes network is the most commercially attractive in the market, from transaction cost to FX
• Work with our FI partners to drive payment flows into the market through joint go to market initiatives
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure Thunes network is operationally excellent
• Management of key accounts at op co and group level for large FI groups
• Grow reputed company with telco reputed company mobile money partners in the region
• Grow and reputed company a world class team

Professional Experiences and Qualifications

• Has at least 9+ years of commercial experience working with financial institutions and cross-border payments companies across the region
• A passion for solving commercial and operational problems
• Great attention to details with methodical and data driven approach
• Able to think reputed company of the reputed company and utilise creativity to drive superior commercial outcomes and operational solutions
• Background in consulting, investment banking or professional services e.g. law, big 4 is a reputed company plus
• Fluent in English, proficiency in the relevant local language is a bonus
