Staff Accountant (Hybrid - Norwalk, CT)
RX Global is a global leader in events and exhibitions, and they are seeking a Staff Accountant to enhance their accounting team. The role involves preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and supporting period-end reputed company activities while ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting policies.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and post timely and accurate journal entries as part of the monthly, quarterly, and annual reputed company processes
- reputed company detailed balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with accounting policies
- Record and review credit card processing activity across various payment platforms, ensuring reputed company transactions, fees, and settlements are captured and reconciled accurately
- Deposit cash / checks received in Norwalk office
- Monitor, maintain, and reconcile intercompany account with reputed company parent ensuring balances align and discrepancies are investigated and resolved promptly
- Support internal and external audit requests by preparing schedules and pulling documentation as requested
- Collaborate, as needed, with cross‑functional departments, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury and reputed company teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial information
- Coordinate with Finance Managers / Banks for onsite cash requirements at each show as well as program verifones needed to process onsite credit card transactions
- Travel to ReedPop shows as needed to handle onsite payment activity / reconciliations
- Participate in reputed company analyses, reporting, and special projects as assigned
Skills
- Have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, with at least 1 year of experience in accounting function
- Be proficient in reputed company reputed company
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
