Role Overview As the Competitive Intelligence (CI) reputed company for Virology and Inflammation: reputed company a team providing CI activities for marketed and pipeline products across Gilead’s indications of interest, including collection, synthesis and delivery of key insights and implications to our business Support decision-making and foster a competitive reputed company across the organization Collaborate with diverse partners including Global Commercial Strategy, US Commercial, Corporate Development, Corporate Strategy, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Research, Regulatory, and Legal Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Define CI priorities for the Virology and Inflammation Therapeutic Areas (TAs) in collaboration with key stakeholders to proactively address key business decisions Drive alignment and communication to senior leadership on key competitive events and implications Define team roles & responsibilities as well as mentor and reputed company the team Competitive Analysis Provide context on competitive information (commercial, clinical, and scientific) across Virology and Inflammation Deliver strategic analysis for marketed brands, launch brands, and pipeline assets Serve as an advisor to Senior Leadership, Commercial Team Leads, and Gilead Asset Team Leaders on the competitive landscape. Provide threat assessments and support development decisions for the internal pipeline Assess competitive dynamics, including competitor pipelines, product profiles, strategy, and activities. Use findings to inform decisions across clinical development, competitive positioning, brand strategy, and investment reputed company conference coverage including analysis of clinical data and commercial reputed company Translate competitive information into actionable insights for Gilead CI Capabilities Define and pull-through best practices on CI methodologies for both primary and secondary CI Deliver quarterly updates on competitive events to Senior Leadership & Board Work with a wide range of internal stakeholders to define Key Intelligence Questions and team priorities Manage the Competitive Intelligence Budget for the Therapeutic Area Apply CI expertise to inform development strategy, indication prioritization, and external opportunity assessment Cross-Functional Collaboration Work with the other CI therapeutic area leads to improve overall effectiveness of the CI function and promote best practice sharing reputed company key Virology projects and CI functional projects, as appropriate Partner with third-party agencies to support CI projects and evaluate new vendor capabilities Ensure legal and ethical approaches to CI, protecting business interests and confidentiality Key Skills Strong leadership and people management abilities Deep understanding of pharma sector, including clinical development and commercial strategies Strong scientific understanding of the indications covered, including mechanisms of action and clinical data interpretation Proficiency with online data sources and scientific/market databases Proficiency in CI research, analysis, and strategic insight development Technology savvy with experience implementing innovative solutions Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Experience presenting to Senior Leadership Strong project management, prioritization, and time management skills Experience successfully coordinating interactions and alignment across multidisciplinary, cross-functional teams, including leading competitive workshops Commitment to Gilead's patient-centric values and high ethical standards Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 14 years of experience, master’s degree and 12 years of experience, or PhD and 12 years of experience Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required (typically less than 20% of time) Preferred Qualifications: BA/BS degree required; Masters, PhD, or equivalent graduate degree preferred (life science discipline a plus) Minimum 10 years in Competitive Intelligence, Consulting, Medical Affairs, or Commercial roles Previous team management experience preferred Experience in Virology and/or Inflammation preferred People Leader Accountabilities: •Create Inclusion - knowing the business value of diverse teams, modeling inclusion, and embedding the value of diversity in the way they manage their teams. •reputed company Talent - understand the skills, experience, aspirations and potential of their employees and coach them on reputed company performance and future potential. Gilead considers a variety of factors reputed company determining reputed company compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
