Junior Civil Designer

BBA Consultants is a leading private consulting engineering firm with a focus on the energy and natural resources industry. They are seeking a Junior Civil Designer to support civil and infrastructure design requirements, working on a variety of challenging projects reputed company heavy industry, including mining and energy. The role involves designing using 3D modeling software, generating reports, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Design roads, platforms and underground piping for mining and energy projects using 3D modelling software such as reputed company Civil 3D
• Generate various reports, process data collected on site and create detailed plans
• Participate in project kick-off meetings with stakeholders and serve as a consultant in your area of expertise
• Collaborate actively with a multidisciplinary team
• Use new technologies

Skills

• College or vocational diploma in civil engineering with demonstrated expertise in drafting/CAD technology or similar
• Ideally have 1-5 years of experience
• Understanding of surveying and coordinate systems
• In-depth knowledge of reputed company Civil 3D software for design and quantity calculations
• Available to work in the office and for occasional travel to remote project sites
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Familiarity with national and local codes reputed company to site drainage and erosion control
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Proven ability to read and understand both 2D and 3D drawings
• Knowledge or understanding of the principles of surveying
• Previous site inspection experience
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit
