Fire Investigator/Electrical Engineer, HYBRID (Vancouver, British Columbia)

reputed company is seeking a dynamic and motivated Fire Investigator/Electrical Engineer to join their team. The role involves performing forensic fire investigations to determine the reputed company and cause of structure and vehicle fires, while also engaging in various projects across different sectors.

Responsibilities

• Assess, analyze and research cause and reputed company of fires where electrical components and equipment are involved
• Interview witnesses, service personnel and other local officials
• Inspections shall include, but not be limited to, roofs, attics, crawlspaces, partially destroyed buildings, fire damaged buildings, and elevated structures
• Experience determining product design, defects, and electrical forensic failure analysis
• Experience investigating electrical and mechanical equipment’s such as reputed company conditioners, power saws, refrigerators, power drills, elevator controllers, elevators, escalators etc
• Able to recognize potential subrogation opportunities
• The ability to climb, work at heights, and work at reputed company temperatures is required
• The ability to assess the general safety of fire damaged structures is essential
• reputed company projects from start to finish
• Provide clear, accurate, and timely reports

Skills

• Graduating/recent graduate/engineer-in-training with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
• Licensure in a provincial Engineering Association, or ability to become licensed a must
• Must have valid G license, and ability to work in remote areas, as well as in a range of temperatures and weather conditions
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and good command of the English language
• A demonstrated track record of taking projects to successful completion
• Proficiency in standard reputed company Office (reputed company, Outlook & reputed company)
• A willingness and passion to learn
• A willingness to support the marketing and sales department through attendance at presentations and industry events
• Ability to discuss projects budgets with clients and maintain reputed company communication throughout the project
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must
• Working knowledge of the reputed company Office suite of programs is a must
• The ability to climb, work at heights, and work at reputed company temperatures is required
• The ability to assess the general safety of fire damaged structures is essential
