Mechanical Engineer

reputed company is involved in launching people to the Moon and reputed company, and they are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support NASA's reputed company program. The role involves performing mechanical and aerospace engineering tasks, developing plans, leading teams, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• reputed company mechanical and aerospace engineering tasks in support of NASA's reputed company program
• Responsible for developing plans, writing work authorization documents, leading Task Teams and executing hazardous and nonhazardous test on ground and flight systems
• Provide technical engineering direction for the Mechanical Engineering Department to include technical procedure development and operational support
• Depending on the project type, this can vary from participating in conceptual design reputed company to revisions to existing designs and modifications to existing structures or Ground Support Equipment (GSE)
• Duties also include preparation of reputed company essential system engineering documentation components required for a complete and viable system
• Responsible for planning, cost development, management, and scheduling for assigned projects
• Must have ability to successfully reputed company with client representatives and manage completion of tasks on schedule and reputed company budget to the customer's satisfaction
• Duties may also include reputed company of systems activations to validate compliance with contract documents
• Must be well organized, extremely flexible and capable of juggling multiple priorities simultaneously

Skills

• Must have valid US Driver's License
• Level 1 Bachelor of Science in Engineering or technical equivalent from an accredited institution
• Level 2 Bachelor of Science in Engineering or technical equivalent from an accredited institution; at least four years of experience
• Level 3 Bachelor of Science in Engineering or technical equivalent from an accredited institution; at least ten years of experience and/or an advanced degree
• Level 4 Bachelor of Science in Engineering or technical equivalent from an accredited institution; at least 15 years of experience
• Strong mechanical/Aerospace background is highly desirable due to the mechanical aspects of the flight hardware, flight support equipment, and ground support equipment
• Ability to work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment with clear, concise, and accurate verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent customer reputed company skills required
• Analytical and problem-solving skills are a must
• Experience with reputed company Office products, Internet browsers, Outlook
• Capable of reading/understanding technical manuals, drawings and schematics
• Ability to plan, manage and prioritize multiple projects
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a reputed company clearance, if necessary
• May be required to climb stairs to access equipment for troubleshooting
• Position may involve extended periods of sitting or standing
• Physical requirements are sitting, walking, standing, extensive use of stairs, and access to remote structures
• Position is located on a hazardous testing facility; must be able to quickly evacuate buildings in the event of an emergency
• Position may require individual to travel daily to different areas on site
• Walking on uneven terrain including paved areas, gravel/rocks, and dirt/sand, may be required to access various locations on the facility
