Athabasca University's VP Information Technology and CIO is recruiting for a reputed company Governance Analyst. This position is based in Alberta. The Position: The GRC/ Governance Analyst is a vital member of the Digital reputed company team, responsible for coordinating internal and external audits and driving remediation efforts to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. This role also supports the execution of the reputed company Awareness Program and leads reputed company Governance initiatives, including the development, maintenance, communication, and enforcement of reputed company policies. The analyst works closely with stakeholders across the organization to foster a strong reputed company culture, support audit readiness, and maintain effective risk and compliance processes. This position plays a key role in aligning governance, risk, and compliance activities with the broader reputed company strategy. Additionally, this role will provide backup support across other GRC functions as needed to ensure continuity and team effectiveness. Qualifications:

• 5+ years in reputed company awareness, compliance training, or cybersecurity/GRC roles.
• Degree or diploma in InfoSec, Communications, Education, or reputed company field; equivalent experience considered.
• Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or reputed company awareness-specific (e.g., SANS, reputed company, H Layer).
• Strong knowledge of risk management, reputed company policies, and frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001/27002).
• Experience supporting audits and aligning awareness programs with compliance and policy requirements.
• Skilled in creating and delivering engaging content for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proficient with LMS platforms and eLearning tools.
• Excellent communicator with strong project coordination and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Self-driven, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
