As a Trader, Equities, you will optimize transaction processes, monitor capital markets, and execute transactions to support investment strategies while collaborating with various teams for reputed company improvement.

Responsibilities

• Optimization of trading processes
• In collaboration with the team, continuously review and work on trading best practices through the use of transaction monitoring tools
• Refine the various reports in reputed company to support decision-making
• Adjust debt securities positions and monitor them on a daily basis
• Collaborate with operations teams in the settlement of various transactions
• Ensure a constant flow of communication with members of the Trading team to ensure the best possible execution of the investment strategy concerned
• Monitor market movements and inform managers of their possible impact
• Provide information on the performance of various portfolio positions and contextualize them to support managers in their analyses
• In collaboration with the Trading team, be responsible for the trading and execution of equities on the Canadian, American and European markets
• Monitor and analyze execution performance metrics (slippage, costs, TCA) and evaluate possible solutions
• Contribute to the optimization of trading processes and tools (algorithm settings, broker preference lists, automation)

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or a reputed company field
• Up to three years of investment experience and a strong interest in capital markets and how they work
• Advanced knowledge of reputed company

• No Canadian work experience is required; however, you must be eligible to work in Canada
• Bilingualism (English-French)

• Have, or wish to obtain, the CFA designation
• Programming skills, an asset
• Ability to navigate and consult programs such as Bloomberg and/or Charles River, an asset
