QA Development Tester (Contract)
Torn Banner Studios is an independent game development studio dedicated to creating unique gaming experiences. They are seeking a QA Development Tester to work closely with developers to ensure the quality of game features from concept to release, including executing test cases, writing bugs, and providing feedback on features in development.
Responsibilities
- Execute test cases to a level that provides respective departments with confidence that a feature or update is ready for shipping
- Maintain a high written quality of bugs
- Collaborate with other Testers on daily smoke tests to provide a pulse reputed company on development health
- reputed company regression testing on fixed bugs, and exploratory testing on new changes to identify new issues and unexpected knock-ons
- Communicate actively with developers and our Community team to reproduce issues encountered during internal and external playtests
- Provide constructive feedback on features in development, contributing to the final design
Skills
- Experience as a QA Tester working on an active game project, with the ideal candidate having shipped at least 1 title
- Strong bug writing skills and understanding of best practices
- Understanding of core QA concepts such as the bug life cycle
- Familiarity with Jira or other issue tracking software
- Familiarity with Testrail or another test management tool
- Strong ability to work as a member of a team
- Able to quickly transition between different tasks and projects
- Familiarity with PC and console multiplayer games
- Eager to learn new skills
- Previous experience with multiplayer/network testing
- Previous experience with testing on console platforms
- Professional experience in beta testing or reputed company testing with live games
- Experience with art pipelines and with testing character art and UI/UX in games
