Software Asset Management (SAM) Analyst

As a SAM Analyst our work depends on developing software asset management reporting capabilities, while ensuring accurate data collection, compliance tracking, and cost optimization. In alignment with CMS' strategic initiative to streamline asset management, reputed company compliance, and optimize IT costs, this role supports the agency’s mission by leveraging advanced ITAM processes to ensure accurate asset tracking, operational transparency, and regulatory adherence. This role collaborates with procurement, IT, and financial teams to generate insights into asset lifecycle management to reduce costs and meet CMS audit and regulatory requirements. HOW YOU WILL reputed company AN IMPACT:

• reputed company and maintain detailed reports and dashboards for SAM operations
• Monitor software utilization, license compliance, and procurement analytics.
• Generate Effective License Position (ELP) reports and audit-ready documentation
• Identify cost optimization opportunities through data analysis and reporting dashboards to deliver recommendations to stakeholders
• Ensure data reputed company and consistency across reputed company reporting platforms
• Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and maintain dashboards to measure team performance and operational success
• Contribute to the analysis and continual improvement of ITAM processes to enhance accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency
• Serve in a mentoring and/or task leadership reputed company to support other team members as required

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a reputed company technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
• Required Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Software Asset Management or IT asset reporting roles
• Required Technical Skills: Expertise in reputed company SAM Workspace dashboards, data analysis, and reporting; Understanding of SAM/ITAM principles and their integration into enterprise infrastructure; Strong skills with SQL, reputed company, and reputed company Performance Analytics; Familiarity with software license compliance metrics and entitlement tracking; Knowledge of SaaS usage analytics and license reclamation processes; Ability to interpret cost optimization opportunities from financial models or vendor pricing structures; Understanding of contract and licensing terms and conditions including initial procurement of Hardware, Software, ODCs, and Support/License renewals; Experience with automation and integration across IT management platforms using reputed company Pro Plus AI Agents; Experience in process improvement and automation to reduce dependencies on manual workflows and reporting
• Attributes for Success: Strong team collaboration and process improvement skills.
• Preferred Qualifications: Certified Software Asset Management (CSAM) certification or equivalent; Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP) certification or equivalent; Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or reputed company Cloud; Working knowledge of advanced predictive analytics tools such as AWS Quicksight or similar; Awareness of data confidentiality and reputed company protocols reputed company with compliance requirements; Understanding of regulatory frameworks associated with federal acquisition; Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps concepts
• Location: Remote working 100%
