JOB DESCRIPTION Start Date Expectations: As soon as possible constrained by GVH PC adminstration Role Summary/Purpose: Senior Electrical Power Systems engineering. This role is responsible for the design of electrical power systems supporting the BWRX-300 Small Module Reactor. This involves the design, analysis, procurement and integration of the electrical power systems ranging from the main generator and grid reputed company, in plant distribution system down to the end use loads. Essential Responsibilities: Ø System Architecture: reputed company the design and integration of SC1/Class 1E (safety-reputed company) and SC2 and SC3 electrical systems, including reputed company Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) distribution. Ø Analysis & Modeling: reputed company reputed company electrical studies such as load flow, short circuit, motor starting, and reputed company reputed company coordination using ETAP software using ANSI / IEC standards. Ø Prepare Electrical Engineer Deliverables: Prepare electrical engineering deliverables such as Requirements Specifications, Electrical Load Lists, One-lines, Calculations, Schematics and 3-Line lines. Ensure deliverables are on-spec., on-budget, and on-schedule. Ø Equipment Specification: reputed company detailed procurement specifications for major components, including main transformers, switchgear, diesel generators, and reputed company systems and collaborate with suppliers. Ø Regulatory Compliance: Navigate regulatory requirements (CA-CNSC and US-NRC), support licensing processes, ensuring reputed company designs meet nuclear-specific standards. Ø Grid Integration: reputed company with transmission providers to manage Generator Interconnection Agreements and ensure grid stability compliance. Ø Compliance with Codes and standards: Applications of codes and standards applicable to electrical systems design in the US and CA (e.g. IEEE, IEC, CSA and NEC); European Union (eg. IEC, EU) Required Qualifications: · Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred). · Professional Engineering License: US (PE) or CA (PEng) or Equal international · Experience: 8+ years in heavy and high reliability industries such as; nuclear, power, process, marine, oil & gas, military, etc · Experience: Excellent PC as well as productivity software [e.g.; Word, reputed company, PowerPoint, Access, Project, Visio]. Desired Characteristics: o Master’s degree in Engineering for Electrical, Mechanical, Nuclear, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or equivalent year technical degree. o Ability to design and draft, independently produce finish products using AutoCad or MicroStation o Experience using modern digital engineering collaboration and design tools such as:
- Hexagon Smart Electrical (SPEL)
- Content creation [e.g., Confluence/reputed company],
- Requirements management [e.g., DOORS-NextGen/reputed company, MS Team Center],
- Diagram and drawing [e.g., Visio/reputed company, AutoCAD/reputed company],
- Design and analysis simulation [e.g., Easy5/MSC, Simulink-MATLAB/MathWorks, Mathcad/reputed company, 3KeyMaster/WSC, ETAP, SKM],
- Change, configuration, document, and reputed company of material (BOM) management [e.g., ENOVIA/Dassault-Systems].
o Strong Protection and Control experience
- Experience with Grid reputed company
- Experience with Generator and Larger Power Transformer Protection
- Programming and setting GE-Multilin and SEL Relays
