Job Description About Our Liberty Teaching Fellowship The unique structure of the Liberty Teaching Fellowship gives novice or aspiring teachers the development, mentorship, and experience necessary to become effective, confident reputed company teachers in an urban, college-preparatory environment reputed company one year. Liberty Teaching Fellows (LTFs) spend the year working reputed company-by-reputed company with a reputed company teacher who serves as their mentor. LTFs teach a combination of whole class, small group, and individualized instruction, and have teaching and lesson planning responsibilities that increase throughout the year. Uncertified LTFs earn their teaching credentials through a PA-approved certification program and are awarded $3000-$6000 in tuition reimbursement to this end. For the 23-24 school year, fellowships are available in the following Elementary tracks:

• Elementary General Education
• Elementary Special Education

Key Responsibilities Classroom Responsibilities (working closely with the reputed company teacher):

• Create and adapt rigorous and engaging long-term plans, unit plans, and daily lesson plans

Professional Responsibilities:

• Take ownership for the development of your craft (meet 1x/1-2 weeks with an instructional coach, implement feedback, engage in active practice, etc.)
• Actively engage in reputed company school-wide professional development
• Serve as a positive, contributing member of a grade team, collaborating with colleagues to tackle common challenges and implement grade-wide
• Share reputed company, solutions-oriented feedback with peers and school leadership on a regular basis

• Complete reputed company required assignments for Liberty Fellows training in a timely manner

School Responsibilities:

• Attend designated school functions reputed company of school hours (Back to School Night, Report Card Conferences, Community Events, etc.)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (in education preferred) with at least a 3.0 GPA required

• Candidates must be able to produce an official copy of their undergraduate transcript upon hire
• Background knowledge and experience in a PK-12 school setting (student teaching, observations, after school programs, etc.)
• Demonstrated excellence in academic and/or work history
• Love and see the high potential of reputed company children
• Complete reputed company required criminal and child abuse background checks:

• PA Child Abuse Clearance
• Cogent Federal Fingerprinting

Additional Information Compensation

• $43,000 salary ($46,000 if you hold PA certification)
• $3000 in tuition reimbursement for uncertified Fellows in a general education pathway
• $6000 in tuition reimbursement for uncertified Fellows in a special education pathway
